What happen to good service

Today, I have to say was a better day than yesterday. Yesterday it seemed like everywhere I went or called, service was horrible. A friend of mine and her daughter went prom shopping this weekend and so I decided to tag along with them.  We really enjoyed our girls day out until we visited a  certain store. My friends daughter deicide to go in to this one store by herself while me and her mom was right next door.  Her daughter finds a dress that she loves in the store and wants to try it on, but her size was not on the rack.  So she kindly asked the store rep if she could check the dress on the manikin to see if it was her size. The rep told her the manikins size and the daughter says can I try it on. and you wouldn’t believe what came out of her mouth.  Where are your parents, do you even have money to buy the dress before I take it down…  Talk about customer service!!!!

  1. Sometimes I think good customer service has died. I've noticed when I receive great service I go out of my way now to thank them for doing a great job. I hope I would have done that anyway, but I wonder if we have to see really bad before we really appreciate good?

  2. Wow, it's like the scene out of pretty woman. I agree what has happened to customer service? I was at a doctor's office and thought I was on top of the game, having all my paperwork filled out prior to arriving. I get there and hand them the paperwork and they said you filled out the wrong form. We all know how many forms have to be filled out at the doctor's office. I said that is the form they gave me and she said well it's not the right form, so you'll have to fill these out again. I was so mad. Then the assistant is screaming my name to go back to see the doctor and I'm trying to give the receptionist the forms and she keeps screaming my name. I finally said just a minute. Argh!

  3. It use to be that you only got poor customer service from young people but now days it's the order ones. I know that there are time when our kids go the mall just to be walking around and hanging out. And if a cleck is constantly being asked question when they aren't buy that can get ignoring. Not sat that's an excuse for her behavior but if the customer is being polite it you responsible as a sales associate to be the same.

  4. OMG, That is horrific. Did your friend's kid ask to speak to the manager or did she leave? What were her after thoughts? I have always been a pretty forward person and that sale rep's manager would have recieved an earful. So young and innocent, if I see an outfit in my size on the display I don't ask I just take get it myself, I hope the next shopping day ends better than last time.

  5. Wow, that is absolutely horrible. There are many young women that go prom dress shopping in groups. What would they have said to that whole group of girls?? I have issues with people who don't treat you right only because if I am expected to do the right thing and treat people with respect in my job then why shouldn't they? Good subject to blog about.
