What do you do?? lol

Yesterday during a meeting, that take’s place pretty regularly, our team was able to walk away with something RE- informative.  The speaker began to share with us about changing or way of thinking. He had told us that earlier last week he had presented this same lesson, and a nurse made a statement that “ She is here to save lives, not to kiss A--.” Wow
Our Service of Excellence Director shared with us; that ever morning we should say to ourselves what are we going to do today to make a difference’?  Even the littlest act can make a big difference. He reminded us that we were not only here to service the patient, but to service one another in many cases. I can’t say we haven’t heard it before in training but we have heard it some where in life. Especially for the ones who don’t interact or treat patients here in the hospital.
But what I find to be a challenge is, how do you handle the one’s who are constantly rude all the time? How do you handle things that are there every day the same way, day in and day out?  I have to laugh it off sometime and say, God must have a great sense of humor….

  1. I have found that some people are just negative. Everything is bad in the world and so they are rude back. I just try and smile and re-direct the conversation to something positive. Not a fun person to be around!

  2. I don't understand people like that as well. What gets me is those type of people always complain about their job and want to get support from other on how bad it is. I want to ask them sometimes if it's so bad why don't you quit and find something you want to do. If not keep your comments to yourself and do your job because on the real you don't have to kiss anybodies a** but you don'thave to make ruin my day just because you don't want to be here.
